​4-5 pm Join us for a fun, pick-up soccer game in the Holiday Park. Facilitated by Kathleen LeRoy. For kids and adults, and the kids in all of us.

Friday, July 21 - A Soulful Evening with Mmmwhah!

Embodied Emotion Yoga
​4 pm Join us for a new style of yoga class where we explore a particular emotion through guided journaling and yoga. Half the class is journaling & discussion; half the class is an all-levels yoga flow designed to put the motion back into our e*motion! Today’s class will focus on the emotion pair: Shame and Pride. Bring a yoga mat or borrow one! Led by Kristina Cizmar and Sarah Silvas-Bernstein.

Boulder Drum Circle
5 pm Drum circles offers us a place to connect with each other, the earth & ourselves. It is both meditative & stimulating. Almost every culture has a history of using the drum. The Boulder Drum Circle has been offering free community drum circles since 2014. Cofounder, Prasad Katz, is passionate about music a form of therapeutic healing. Drumming transcends barriers of age, race, religion, nationality, economic & political standings.

Circle Dances
7 pm Join Scott Medina and Makaan Burt for a enlivening, participatory session of Circle Peace Dances, open to all ages. We will sing and dance from different faith traditions and create community together in a fun, heart-felt approach. All dances are clearly taught and easy to learn, no experience needed. Scott has been leading Peace Dances and Ecstatic Chanting for over 15 years in the Colorado area and abroad.

Kirtan with chanting, dance, and art-making
8-9:30 Join us for devotional singing, dancing, and art-making inspired by ancient Sanskrit chants. Kirtan can bring one to ecstatic dance and/or a contemplative place, and it can quiet the mind and open the heart if entered into with that intention. Led by Mira Devi and Ken Bernstein (vocals and guitars), Bill McCrossen (bass) and Zach Hedstrom (tabla). Art-making to be facilitated by NoBo Art District artists.

9 am Join Didem Ergin in a pranayama (breath) and alignment focused asana practice with intelligent sequences to help us get in touch with our true peaceful nature.

Mmmm: Mid-morning Movement Meditation
10-11am Join us for an earth-based, life-enhancing movement meditation with live music by Bill McCrossen on an array of instruments from the kora, guembri, Tibetan gong, meditation bowls, hapi drum, bird whistles, and whatever the spirit calls for. Facilitated by Merlyn Holmes.

7 pm - Comprised of some of the most innovative improvising musicians on the Front Range, the Donna Wickham Quartet pays tribute to Leonard Cohen with new jazz arrangements of his music.

Around 9 pm / When it gets dark. It's the summer of 1962. A new kid in town is taken under the wing of a young baseball prdigy. Let's follow this rowdy team and their many adventures.

7pm | Create and decorate one or more musical instruments. Then use them in Sunday's drum circle or improvisational jam session. Facilitated by NoBo Art District members from Bohemia.

Dafna Margolit, voice and piano
8pm | Someday you may say, "I heard Dafna Margolit when she was in high school, at a free Mmmwhah! event in the park." Come listen to this up and coming young artist from Fairview High as she shares her original songs.

Mmmwhah! Games with Deb Keyek-Franssen
8:30 pm | There's no telling what Deb might lead us through, but be assured we will be laughing while we wait for the movie to begin.
Deb Keyek-Franssen is the Associate Vice President for Digital Education & Engagement for the University of Colorado and a common keynote speaker. She's also great at lightening up such serious work and is an improv artist on the side.

Movie: "Landfill Harmonic"
8:45 / Dusk: An unlikely orchestra made out of recycled trash. We follow the lives of a garbage picker, a music teacher and a group of children from a Paraguayan slum. A true story and the inspiration for this Mmmwhah! weekend.

Circle Dances
11am | Jen Friedman will lead us in Dances of Universal Peace, simple, meditative, joyous, multi-cultural dances that use sacred phrases, chants, music and movements from many spiritual traditions of the earth to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and recognize it in others. The Dances promote peace within individuals and understanding and connection within diverse groups worldwide. Jen leads a warm and welcoming Dance circle for new dancers.

Celtic Steps Dance
5pm | Come see a lively Irish Step dance performance by Celtic Steps, the largest Irish dancing school in Colorado. Students range in age from 3 to 60-plus. The school has won Regional, National, and World Championship titles.

A Coda to Brazil Fest!
May Brazil Fest live on! Join us for more Brazilian music, dance, and sound painting facilitated by NoBo Art District artist, Diane Wood. Bring picnics, blankets/chairs, etc., but enjoy moving and art-making with us.

Brazilian Dance intro and Samba Colorado Performance
5:30pm | Samba Colorado will lead an intro to Brazilian dance with the band, then share a short performance from BrazilFest

Boulder Brazilian Band
Comprised of a group of professional musicians who share a deep passion for interpreting the traditional and modern music of Brazil, the Boulder Brazilian Band will be performing the work of Joao Donato, A.C. Jobim, Baden Powell, Carlos Lyra, Noel Rosa, among others.
Bill Kopper on guitar, Victor Mestas, keyboard, Bill McCrossen, bass, Raoul Rossiter on drums and percussion, and Greg La Liberte on sax and flute. Join us in dance and art-making as well.

Improvisation Jam with Improvisational Instruments
6-8+ | Join us for an experiential dive into improvisational music, dance and art. Musicians Brian Mullins, Farrell Lowe, and Bill McCrossen will lead us on a journey through the unknown and unexpected with instruments not seen or heard in the everyday world -- some of which will be created earlier in the weekend. Merlyn Holmes will lead the dance/movement component. Dancers, artists, and musicians of all kinds welcome.
Build an instrument and bring it. / Let the music flow through your body to move it in new ways. / Create anew. Or just listen. In fact, listening is the key to every aspect.
Some of the unusual instruments may include the daxophone, waterphone, a "Snake" or mega-bass created by Ken Bernstein, bullroarer, prepared guitar and double bass, and who knows what else.
